In April, the nominating committee will announce it's recommendations for Board of Directors candidates, and officers will be elected in May. Positions up for election are President, Secretary, and two members. The committee is Stewart Caffey, Chair, Carolyn Dycus and Augustine Tenant.
The Board recommends amending the Bylaws to include any Board member must be an AWG member in good standing for one year before taking office, and five Board members will constitute a quorum. The amendments passed.
Nancy Masters introduced Barbara Rollins as the March speaker. Judge Rollins is writing a book about early women judges in Texas and America. Judge Rollins brought a powerpoint presentation, and gave advice on how to research and interview, and reminded us that there is a season for everything.
The meeting adjourned, and the members enjoyed refreshments by Ginny Greene and the Brothers Garrett.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary W. Craig, Secretary
