2024 Programs:

April 25, 2024:  Burgess "Bird" Heslep Thomas presented SUCH a fun and interesting program in April!  Thank you, Bird!!

May 23, 2024: Join us as members and guests are invited to read/share some of their writing with everyone.  It is always such a pleasure to learn and hear the diversity of our writers!  Visitors are also welcome to come and read a bit of their writing to us!  There is a 3-minute limit for reading, depending on how many sign up to read!

June 27, 2024:  Get ready to meet Leilani Carrasco. Though Leilani is a Hawaiian name, she is actually a New Mexico native. She loathes cliches but states that she overindulges in the use of the word "so" to the detriment of her linguistic integrity.

The title of her program is: Write Like A Middle Child: How to Command Your Reader's Attention

Come learn more about her at the meeting!

June -- more info coming soon!

The Abilene Writers Guild will celebrate its 55h anniversary in May 2024!

We look forward to seeing you at our future meetings!  AWG desires to present interesting, informative, fun meetings where anyone can learn more about writing.

While AWG operates on a limited budget, our speakers receive a small honorarium and a one-year membership.  We also have specific monthly meeting dates and times for which speakers must be available.

Visitors are always welcome!
